An In-Depth Review on Vivo T4x
Are you a Vivo lover? Do you intend to purchase the Vivo T4X ? Then, let’s go on to know the full specification of Vivo T4X. In this article, you will also come to know about the pros and cons of the phone and the Vivo T4X price in Bangladesh.
Design & Build Quality
First, on the exterior, the Vivo T4x is chic which I observed right from the unpacking of the phone. The thickness of the device is 8.1mm and the weight is approximately 204 grams, which makes the device light and well centered in the hands. At the rear we have the matte finish which gives the back panel a touch of class, not to mention the fact that such a panel cannot be easily stained with fingerprints like glossy ones.
It also has a 2.5D curved glass in front to blend with the polycarbonate frame for style and comfort. The power button and the volume rocker are well placed at the right side; the buttons are easy to press and give a satisfying response time. At the bottom, the frame is continued, and there is a USB Type C port, a diaphragm for a speaker, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for both types of users.
Among the features of this phone design that has been incorporated, the one that caught my attention is the triple camera system at the back. For that purpose, it is arranged vertically in a slightly recessed housing which gives the phone a feel of uniqueness. Admittedly this makes the device wobble on flat surfaces and although this is not very much of a problem, it can be solved by using the accessory that is provided in the form of a protective case.
Display
When the power button is ON on the Vivo T4x, the first thing that is noticed is the display on the front side which is a 6.72-inches FHD+ IPS LCD. The 1080 by 2408 horizontal pixel resolution guarantees the display of all elements such as the text and images in high resolution.
The refresh rate of the screen is 120Hz which makes scrolling very smooth and the animations also look very fluent which is quite good. The screen has a maximum brightness of 1,050 nits, which is perfectly suitable for outdoor usage and, as such, I did not encounter any problem as far as the screen was concerned.
This particular aspect of the screen is very important because it determines the level of NTSC color saturation which is 83% which means that the colors displayed are as close to the original media as possible.
However, the number of displayed colors is 16.07 million, which, despite the fact that is even more than in most of the devices, is fewer than in some counterparts that have 10-bit panels. This might cause a decrease in the number of colors that are being displayed, a factor which most people who are concerned with the quality of display will easily notice.
Camera
As for the camera system, I noticed that the Vivo T4x has the advantages and disadvantaFges when it comes to this particular area. On the back side, there is a 50 MP primary lens with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF and a second 2 MP depth lens with f/2.4 aperture.
The 2MP depth sensor is also a good one for portrait taking as it offers a reasonable degree of bokeh but sometimes, it cannot differentiate between the edges well.
The 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture is good to take average selfies in a well lit environment without making the skin look bleached or dull. However, the same images taken under artificial or low light appear to be grainy and the camera has poor resolution.
Some of the features include video recording of up to 4K video at 30 frames per second, which is available only in the models with 8 GB of RAM. The absence of OIS allows one to notice physical movement of a handheld video, if the camera is moving. However, the quality of the videos is acceptable, the colours match the reality and the amount of detail is enough.
Performance & Software
Having tested it for a rather long time with the Vivo T4x, I would like to note that within the framework of a budget price segment, the phone can be proud of its performance. At the core of it is MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which would usually be expected in devices of a more expensive segment.
This in my view was well implemented as it resulted in smooth switching from one context to the other and switching from one application to another for those of us who work with multiple applications.
Gaming on the Vivo T4x was particularly a joy this might have been due to the fact that these games are normally more demanding to the phone. In the case of gaming, there was no instance where the frame rate of games such as BGMI went below 60fps and the phone did not heat up even during heavy gaming. The LPDDR4X RAM of up to 6 GB and the UFS 3.1 of up to 128 GB provided more flexibility in the device’s operations as well as storage for applications and files.
In regard to the software aspect, the T4x uses Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15. The other easy to use tools include the ‘Circle to Search’ where a user is able to search through the content by circling it on the screen which was a plus for me. Moreover, Always-On Display and the screen translation by applying Artificial Intelligence enhance the attractiveness of a device for the users.
AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score
During my period with the Vivo T4x, I thought it wise to challenge it in a bid to establish how competitive it is. The last benchmark score of this device was 703818 of AnTuTu in overall, 204122 of CPU, and 147184 of GPU. These figures make the T4x to be on the same level with its competitors with the Realme P3 having a better overall rating.
In Geekbench, it got 1,031 points in single-core and 2,827 points in the multi-core test, which shows the ability to perform single-threaded and multitasking processors well.
Battery & Charger
The first one that I noticed concerning the Vivo T4x is that it comes with a rather large battery capacity of 6,500mAh. When using the laptop for watching videos, browsing the internet, as well as playing a few games, the charge lasted almost up to forty-eight hours. This is useful more for the users who prefer to have a device that can serve them for quite a long time without charging.
Also, it has a large battery capacity and 44W Flash Charge support comes with it. From 0% to 50% it took approximately 40 minutes to charge, a feature which was very useful each time one needed to get a quick boost. However, to achieve 100% charge, it took approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is still reasonable, but one may consider it as relatively long compared to some of the competitors providing faster chargers.
Vivo T4x Price in Bangladesh
The Vivo T4x price in Bangladesh is BDT 22,500 (Unofficial). It has a 6GB RAM for the smooth operation of the phone and 128GB storage for data storage. As of now, this particular phone has not been officially released in Bangladesh market.
But there is no need to worry, if in case one wishes to purchase the particular phone, then it can be purchased from local shops or online shops. The Vivo T4x has come in 2 beautiful colors which include the Pronto Purple, Marine Blue.
Final Word
Having used the Vivo T4x for some time now, I can tell that it is an affordable device with nice features such as a great battery life, good performance, and beautiful color display. There are very few issues with the camera that can be taken in most environments but low light shots could be sharper.
However, one could be annoyed by the presence of the bloatware and the lack of an expandable storage system. However, if you are looking for an affordable, decent performing smartphone with a long-lasting battery, then T4x should be on your list.
