Xiaomi Redmi 9 Activ

Xiaomi Released a new entry-level price segment smartphone Redmi 9 Activ. This is a new smartphone of the Redmi 9 series. Before we got some smartphones from the series Redmi 9, that’s are Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Power, etc. After a long time, the brand contains a new smartphone of this series. The smartphone is available with 6GB of RAM for huge storage and a better place to save data, a 5,000mAh big battery with 10W fast charging. However, the dual standard camera on the rear side, powerful processor section, and overall connectivity is good at all compromising the price tag.

Design and Display:

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Activ is made of a Glass front, plastic back, plastic frame. Its dimensions is 164.9 x 77.1 x 9 mm (6.49 x 3.04 x 0.35 in) and weight is 194 g (6.84 oz). The top of the front in the middle position has a selfie camera set up. The bottom has a 3.5mm jack, and a charging port. The top of the left on the rear side has a triple camera and LED Flash set up. The right side has a volume rocker and a power button. The left side has a SIM card slot. The smartphone is available in Carbon Black, Coral Green, Metallic Purple colors.

The phone has a 6.53” IPS LCD display. It is a comfortable size for one-hand use. Display resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels, and colors 16B. The display aspect ratio is 20:9 ratio and pixel density is 269 PPI. The display body ratio is ~81.0%. The display hasn’t had any refresh rate but has a 400 nits (peak) brightness. It is a waterdrop notch display. Display touch screen Capacitive and Multi-touch for smooth use.

Battery and Performance:

The smartphone has a Li-Po 5,000mAh non-removable battery. In talk time, the battery will give Up to 37 Hours(4G) backup. The phone hasn’t type-C. For fast charging, has a 10W fast charger. With this 5000mAh battery, the phone will run one day easily. But, if you play games it doesn’t support one day.

It has not a reverse charging system.Xiaomi Redmi 9 Active runs with Android 11, MIUI 12.5 operating system, and is powered by an Octa-core processor. It is single core 4×2.4 GHz Kryo, 670 & 4×1.8 GHz dual core Kryo 670. The GPU is PowerVR GE8320. Xiaomi used the MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 (12 nm) chipset. The processor fabrication is 12nm and the Architecture 64 bit.

Primary and Selfie Camera:

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Activ has a dual camera set up in the rear position. The primary camera is 13MP with aperture f/2.2, (wide), PDAF. The second is a 2MP depth camera with an aperture of f/2.4. The primary camera image resolution is 4128 x 3096 Pixels. It also has some ordinary features. The camera shooting Model is Continuos Shooting, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR).Other features are digital zoom, face detection, touch to focus.

The camera video recording capacity is 1080p@30.The front has a single U-shape notch. The smartphone has a 5 MP f/2.2 Primary Camera selfie camera. The camera features are screen flash and the video recording capacity is 1080p@30fps.

Storage and Connectivity:

The phone has two variants. That is 4GB RAM 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM 128GB internal storage. But this phone single variant is available in Bangladesh and it is 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The storage type is eMMC 5.1. You can use a microSD card.

The phone will support Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). The phone also has a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, MicroUSB 2.0, USB On-The-Go. But hasn’t USB Type-C. This smartphone has supported FM radio but not NFC. The rear side has a fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi Redmi 9 Activ official price in Bangladesh is 14,000 for the variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This is an unofficial smartphone. There are two variants of Xiaomi Redmi 9 Active. But, only 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant is available in unofficial showrooms and shops.

The phone was first announced on 24 September 2021 and released on the same day 24 September 2021. Now, officially it is available in the Bangladesh market.
